Would have to agree with you loper.  Was actually just intending to enjoy the Ranger game to see if they could secure home field over Detroit, but after that finished got involved in the "dual" between Rays/Yankees and Bosox/Orioles.  It was amazing.

Honestly didn't even know it was about as exciting on the NL side until later.

What a night.  Glad I tuned in.

All I can say about the Bosox monumental collapse for the ages is.....

.....at least it wasn't my Cubs (who look to be nowhere near sniffing playoffs for a while).

Glad to see my Rangers back in the playoffs.

Rangers Vs. the Rays...should be a great series.

I went to a bar up the street so I could watch every game of meaning (plus the Royals finale, yep still care) since ESPN gave me O's-Red Sox and Phillies-Braves on ESPN2 when I wanted to watch the Rays. Left during the rain delay and used my MLB.TV account to watch the Rays-Yankees after the game resumed. But fun fun fun night, just hope Bud kills the two wildcard idea after the fun last night created because with that we wouldn't have had such an interesting night. Again sorry to Archie.

this is frustrating to me in the sense that the Rays were so bad for so long and now they are getting better but that commute from Tampa to St. Pete is a bitch.

depends on what time of year it is, right now I know we have way to many bad contracts to be competitive for 2-3 years.

Come April I will swear we have a team that can win it all.

Come June I will be repeating our motto "Just wait till next year!"

we have bats in the farm system just no arms.  There are some great pieces to build on in Castro and Barney but #1 we have to get some pitching going.

As a Royals fan I just hope Greinke beats the Cardinals even if he wined out of KC because it did return some decent players back.

Bud Selig in my opinion has done a mixed job of approving owners (which more or less is a good old boys network in the NBA, NFL and NHL)

I don't like this deal.  This is a low class, dirty move by Selig.  He shoehorned his own team in the National League 12 years ago when he was the only person on the planet who wanted that to happen, now he's covering up his tracks by moving another team nobody wanted to move in the first place.  I hate this, nobody asked the fans if they even wanted this deal to happen.  If MLB wants to realign, I can think of 15 good ways to do it and this wouldn't even make the list of top 100 ideas.

I have a bad feeling that the Rangers (who have a ton of debt but apparantly have a big TV deal coming) played a role in this and got another patsy in the west. So the Astros will be celebrating there 50th anniversary and last NL season this year.

Though new Astros owner Jim Crane was unanimously approved, some teams would have been opposed had there been any chance they could have voted him down. The Angels, for one, were against him. But as is usually the case in baseball, the vote was 30-0 in Crane's favor. No matter what anyone thinks of Crane, having 15 teams in each league and a balanced schedule -- ripple effects of the approval, which was contingent upon Crane agreeing to move the Astros to the AL West -- are major benefits.
