Brent Venables has accepted UC job. The contract has to be approved by the Board, but he's accepted so it's just a formality. Suppose to be upwards of 750k/yr

I don't know about that.

When NUs defense struggles, I put it on Pelini.  He's a defensive specialist who will always have a HUGE influence on the defense.  The same is with Mike.
Then you keep putting it on Pelini. Stoops has said that other than his small contributions to the CBs he let's the position coaches coach and the Coordinators call plays.

Arizona's extreme struggles on defense, under a defensive specialist like Mike Stoops, should at least raise an eyebrow.  That's all I'm saying.

I still think it was a great hire by OU.  Bringing back a big name like him, and someone Bob is comfortable with, helps a lot.
Huge difference in capabilities to attract talent.

This doesn't seem like a whole lot.

It's good to see Mike Stoops back in Norman.  He did pretty good at Arizona given what Arizona could offer in terms of everything.  I think he should get another chance to be HC someday.

I heard one reporter say that the worst thing a coach at UA could do was bring them on campus.

That was in reference to the facilities and how bad they were.

They are making progress on that but the football offices are in cramped areas of the McKale Center (basketball).  You would know that you are walking on a basketball school's campus in an instant.
