2011 UniWatch Thread for the Pac-12
« on: February 17, 2011, 03:19:29 PM »
Given the ever changing Oregon Ducks uniforms, the Pac-12 deserves its own UniWatch thread.

Paul Richardson who wore #80 last season will wear #6.  The CU home jerseys will be the same for the 2011 season as last season.  Too bad he didn't show the front since I bet there would be a black and gold Pac-12 logo on the front since all Pac-12 teams are required to have the logo on their jerseys.  Perhaps that is why he only could show the back of the jersey.

Still waiting on the road uniforms which should be similar to the home unis from last season.

Sparky is strongly rumored to be getting a makeover and that should be unveiled on April 9.

On April 12, a new pitchfork logo should don the ASU helmets.

And Nike is behind all of this so you can expect radical changes to the ASU uniforms.  Keep your eyes peeled!

I guess I didn't post the new WSU uniforms yet but I will start off with ASU's new uniforms...they did a nice job.  The Sparky logo is still on the helmets but on the back along with the American flag.

Yeah it does look nice and I like the brighter colors.  WSU did brighten the crismon color while darkening the silver.

Can't wait to see CU's new road jerseys and the Pac-12 logo being on those CU uniforms.

I've notied other schools doing it and have been  big fan of almost every one of them. I wish OU would give it a shot.

What if say each player was representing a soldier from Oregon?

Exactly...that's why we shouldn't jump to conclusions just like Blackshirts did.  Plus Eugene is much like Boulder so this has the potential to alienate not only the right wingers but left wingers as well.

To me support the troops great, each honoring one soldier great

But those soldiers each earned the right to wear those medals, they should not be on the uniform

and just judging by that image it looks like that patch is generic

(disclaimer: GF's brother was just awarded the Purple Heart so I may be a tad touchy on the subject)

Oregon State is next on the crazy Nike designer's radar and that guy is the one who got UO's uniforms all funky.

Congrats to your GF's brother.

I am watching the UO spring game on ESPN3...the soliders ran out with the UO players and stuff like that.

The uniforms do look cool although.

There is a black USC jersey out there: http://www.insidesocal.com/usc/archives/2011/05/morning-buzz-785.html

Given ASU's new uniforms, this could get confusing for the casual fan.

:2funny:

I'm glad my school's tradition is so great that if any coach drastically changed the uniform, they'd come under some serious fire.
