Mohawk if Nebraska got to those bench marks you listed I think they'd need to make the semi-finals in KCMO. The lack of quality wins is NU's greatest enenemy right now in my opinion.

Congrats to Nebraskeball on winning the last Big12 battle with Texas. Great game. NU shut Texas down and owned the offensive paint. Good luck rest of the way and keep winning to go to the NCAA tournament!

Can't win on the road, but I will call it now NU beats Texas in Lincoln

Nice call.   Congrats to the Huskers.

I'll chalk up this big win by the Huskers to my presence here in Lincoln. :)
Nice, big win!

Makes sense. Especially if your athletic department sells DVDs of all games.

Does KSU make and sell DVD's of ALL it's games?  How about the nets?   Are they sold after every game?

Honestly, I don't think it's as a big a deal as some have made it out to be, but let's not pretend that this is just business as usual.

Easy for you to say that...NU beat Texas and it was their last regular season game against the puke orange cows.

I hear that the upcoming UT-CU game next week is either close to a sellout or has sold out already.  It is because we want to beat Texas since we didn't play them in football this year.

Yes, and yes. Some receive more marketing and higher bids than others, of course.

Nebraska got a signature win, and still as an RPI in the 70's.

Check again.

A win over KSU on Wednesday likely propels the Huskers up another 5-8 spots in the RPI, around mid-50s.

I was off a little. That's still an RPI that gets passed over by the NCAA committee. I'm not hatin', I'd love to see this Husker team succeed. (Except against the 'Cats)

Oh I think the mid-70s gets you passed over. But I think low-60s at least makes them glance. The Huskers definitely still have a lot of work left to do and a win of KSU on Wednesday could put the Huskers in a really good spot.

As for the DVD, that is not done by the AD I can tell you that much. I think people just make fun of the marketing of the KSU AD. This isn't the first time they've gotten a wee bit too excited about something (need we re-live the Power Towel and Willie videos fiasco?)

I'm fairly certain that K-State can finish 8-8, in the middle of the conference, and make the NCAA tournament. I wouldn't, however, want to make the final two games of the conference season "MUST" wins. K-State needs to split this week and be able to split next week.

Good win over Mizzou.

Nebraska has the strangest resume....

Of who?

Anyone.

Wins over:
Texas
Missouri
Texas A&M
Oklahoma State
Colorado

Losses to:
Iowa State
Texas Tech
Davidson

Just makes you scratch your head.

5 road losses by a combined 14 points. Difference between an average and good team right there.

MP, I know this will probably fall on deaf ears with what I've said already about Nebrasketball but the Huskers are a solid home team and lousy road team. Their one road win was at OU while they have loss at Texas Tech and Iowa State. I'll give Doc and crew credit for close losses at KU and Mizzou but in the end they were losses on the road. Nebraska has been better than I thought but at the end of the day they are a NIT team unless...they win three games or in the championship game in KCMO at the tourney or hell win it all.

And just like that, Nebraska's basketball affiliation with the Big 6, Big 7, Big 8, and Big 12 comes to an end after 104 years.   During those 104 years the Huskers won 0 NCAA tournament games.  Good luck in the Big 10.  I think NU will fare better there in hoops.
