I wouldn't pay the snake this but at the same time I don't think highly of the parties involved here.

Can you believe this stat, Kentucky's loss to Pitt today brings the SEC's record against the Big East to 13-17 since 2001.

Again, it had to be done. But it is still embarrassing.

BYU is the biggest name(unless a Big East team wants to join) that the Big 12 has available right now.

IMO, OU is going to see if they can get one of, or three, big east schools(WVU/Pitt/Louisville) and BYU, or just BYU and go from there. IF they don't, OU will say no to the conference and the lawsuits will pour in to aTm.

What stood out to me was that the stadium expansion could take up to 30 years.

LSU suspending three players vs Auburn this weekend
I guess it is smarter to do it against Auburn @ home, then against Alabama on the road.

If that happens, it will be by their own choice.  Nobody is forcing them to stay with 8 conference games.  You can't add more teams and still expect to play the exact same number of games against the exact same teams.  The math doesn't add up.  So if Georgia-Auburn or Tennessee-Alabama goes away, it will be their own fault.

I agree Archie that this is by their own doing by wanting 14-teams which is resulting in 8-9 conference games.

Im gonna go out on a limb here, but I think before to long the SEC will try and start a conference playoff, just as they started conference championship games. This could be why they didnt increase the number of conference games with expanding the conference.

I don't think that's out on a limb at all.  I think that's the direction the major conferences are heading in.  It may happen slowly, I think conferences are afraid of expanding too fast, so they're expanding slowly to assimilate their new teams.  I think the SEC is getting two more teams and will sign a ridonkulous tv contract.  When that happens the Big Ten and PAC 12 will have no choice but to follow suit, then either the Big 12 or ACC will be the 4th and final major conference.

So with four 16 team conferences, each one will have 4-team divisions, and conference semifinal and championship games.  The four champs go on to the playoff.  Even though that's technically a 4 team playoff, it's essentially a 16 team playoff.  Only the first two rounds are really regular season games.

I don't know if you guys read Clay Travis at outkickthecoverage.com, nut it sounds like you do.  The conference playoff idea was first predicted by him.  He's been on the money with everything so far in realignment.

Count me in on a four-team conference playoff that feeds into the CCG, semi-finals on-campus then neutral site for the title game, not sure if you reduce the regular season to do so or what but its an intrguing idea if your only going to do a national four team playoff. It might be how we get that 16-team playoff many crave.

Archie, I don't think the Pac12 adds anyone else because they don't really want San Diego State, Boise State and BYU which are the three best western options. I wouldn't doubt the SEC and B1G adding but I think the Pac likes there numbers.

I think they like their numbers too.  There may soon be new factors in play though that will force their hand.

Being the visionary that he is, I think Larry Scott knows that the PAC 12 is in a poor location for expansion and Texas-Oklahoma are his only two good options.  That's why he tried to beat everyone to the punch two years ago.  He wanted to expand then so he wouldn't get stuck with San Diego State later.

I agree that he tried a solid move on his part to get Oklahoma-Texa$ for the same reason and if at all posible he'll try not to get stuck with the Aztecs because the California schools, Cal, Stanford, UCLA and Southern Cal won't accept San Diego State.
