kenpom.com predicts losses at Missouri, twice against Kansas, and against Texas at home.

Overall the prediction model comes out to 11-5 in conference and 24-6 overall. That record, with a strong non-con resume, and likely third in the conference should be a 3-4 seed.

My prediction is that K-State will lose @KU, @MU, @TTU, v. UT. There's probably a let-down loss in there somewhere with tough road games @ISU, @NU and @OU. 11-5 or 10-6 will be quite an accomplishment.

K-State is #12 and #15 in this week's AP and Coaches polls, respectively.

Anybody who doesn't rank the 'Cats at this point in time is just not paying attention.

The 'Cats had an up-and-down night, but beat UAPB 90-76.

I was reading the game notes from UAPB. K-State now has a 74% winning percentage all-time in Bramlage Coliseum. I thought that was pretty good, and more remarkable given they've only beat Kansas there once. The numbers, minus 1-25 against Kansas, are 251 and 63 for 80%.

'Cats started slow, but put together an 18-0 run in the first half and ended up beating Cleveland State 85-56.

'Cats dominated the boards and shot a ton of free throws. K-State leads the nation in free throws attempted.

'Cats beat down South Dakota at home today. I'm disappointed that they were outscored in the second half, regardless of who was in the game.

Didn't get to see the game as FSN Kansas City forgot to send their satellite truck to Manhattan! Oops!

kenpom.com predicts a 5-point loss, and only 32% chance for a win by K-State at Missouri this Saturday.

That's not real surprising.  It's a tough place to win for sure.  I'd still say the game's about 50/50 though.  KSU is streaking right now and I can't get a feel for how good Missouri really is.  They seem to be kind of a Jeckyl and Hyde team to me.

I will say, at home, we are a much different beast.  The team is starting to figure themselves out, and when they're on...they are awesome to watch.  The game Saturday is going to be HUGE.  Mizzou has a 28 game home win streak, top 10 opponent, season opener.  I will probably have a lot more to talk about after Mizzou's next game on Wednesday.

It's always tough to beat a good opponent on the road. Unless Missouri has developed a physical, inside scoring threat this season, I think K-State matches up well. I think K-State matches Missouris athleticism with greater basketball skill.

If K-State wins in Columbia, they'll likely beat ATM at home and CU on the road, setting up an awesome Big Monday matchup with Texas on the 18th in Bramlage Coliseum!

The past few games we have started to develop an inside game.  We will see, though.  Like you said, we are kind of playing Jeckyl and Hyde

'Cats lost a tough one to open conference play at Mizzou.

Next game is tonight at home against Texas A&M.

I think Vegas has the line set for KSU @ CU at -3 or -4 for K-State.

ESPN's AccuScore says KSU 79.5, CU 76.9. In over 10,000 simulations, K-State wins 51.4% of the time.

Nip and tuck game throughout. 'Cats win 87-81.

94 FTs shot in the game on 67 fouls.
At least 19 offensive rebounds for K-State.

CU shot 53% from the field!

I think Frank has a lot more control. That's why he doesn't get T-ed up. He's had two in his tenure here. I saw one and it was a ridiculously quick whistle. He's loud, he's demonstrative, but the fact that he focuses that at his players and not at officials shows, to me, that he's got it under control.

Until he puts his hands on his players...

The guys on PTI just talked about Martin and his agressiveness, and they both said that KSU needs to be very careful.
