Anyone going?

I was thinking of going down to tailgate with some Tiger fans, they always come down even when LSU is not playing and are usually fun

After that top half of the 8th by Southern Miss., I am not sure TU deserves to win this one.  4-5 right now.

Well after each of the eight teams who have played I think that its pretty wide open. And I'm amazed at all the two-out RBIs that I've seen while watching yesterday and today.

Bracket 1-
#3 LSU, did enough against Virginia to claim victory with their new version of Guerilla ball
Arkansas, 8 of 10 runs scored with two outs versus CSF but they attacked early in the count and often
#2 Cal State Fullerton, Ranken will need to be good and the offense have better be ready against a good UVa team
Virginia, this is still a team I wouldn't want to face had some breaks go against them like a ball that was fair but called foul still a dangerous squad

Bracket 2-
#1 Texa$, offense is the weakness but the pitching and patience they show on offense maybe enough
#5 Arizona State, Sun Devils have good starting pitching and timely hitting will be a tough out
#4 North Carolina, deep pitching and Ackley will help the Tar Heels fight until eliminated
Southern Mississippi, Golden Eagles are scrappy and will not go down without a fight

Yup, some fun facts: LSU has won it's last 13 games in a row, not quite the 23 game streak of last year, but this streak comes at a better time. LSU is also 49-0 this year when leading after six innings, and has never lost a CWS championship game. If the Tigers get to the championship game, they win. Which is why LSU has the best percentage of championships to appearances.

In common opponents, Texas is 0-4 vs Rice, while LSU is 2-0 vs the Owls this season.

Should be a great series though, Texas has great resolve.

The 'Horns haven't loss a CWS game in awhile since they rolled through the '05 field to win the title. LSU is perfect in title games, this is their first CWS title series. Both team have had good things happen to them during their runs in Omaha should be entertaining indeed.

Here's an interesting case study to show our LSU pal.  An SEC fan would be rooting for the fellow SEC team to win the championship, whether they're a rival or not.  In the Big 12, there's no rooting for rival teams.  Texas-OU hate is alive and well!
