In yesterday's games, Texas beat Kansas 9-3 and K-State beat Baylor 9-4.

The winner of the Texas/K-State game will advance to the championship.

Congrats Lynch on your Cats win last night, good luck against Texas. Looks like the Bears are done now, a final game against KU then they can pack it up til next year. Making a regional is a long shot.

Drove past Bricktown several times this week and looked wistfully in the direction of the stadium for several reasons.

1. I was tired of sitting in the stinkin' hospital! 

2. I was really in the mood for some baseball (anything outdoors after all the rain we've had is pure bliss)

3. There was no orange and black there......as you boys really enjoy pointing out...over and over and over and over  ;)

And just so you know...by the time I got to #3 on my list, I was sticking my tongue out at the stadium anyway and tball game would work just as well!   :)

Hey Lynch, I was just joking about the easy win. I am surprised that they beat KU & KSU after losing both series this season. Didn't Mizzou win the series against us also this year?

Wait a minute, Texas goes to the championship game simply because they are the higher seed? I'm a guest here, and I don't want to sound ingracious, but that is some serious weaksauce IMO. The Big XII really needs to revamp their tie-breaking procedures. They seem to be heavily weighted in favor of the better-known teams like Texas and Oklahoma.

LSU, by contrast, had to play it's way to the championship game by winning four games in four days, including two games yesterday. And through the loser's bracket at that, meaning any loss would have sent them home. Today, the Tigers get a chance at revenge on the one team that beat them in the tournament, Vanderbilt.

I guess I just feel bad for Kansas State and especially Baylor, who beat Texas and still is on the outside looking in.

I would say Mizzou has had a pretty good year athleticly.  Mizzou became the first Big 12 school to play in the football, basketball, and baseball championship games all in the same year. Our softball team is well on their way to their first ever College World Series with upsetting #2 UCLA yesterday and we have already taken the women's soccer Big 12 title.
