The Cards are standing behind McGwire after he admitted to using steriods.  I'm not sure how steriods helped with homeruns or stuff like that.

Ricketts improving Wrigley

Awesome!  Like my wife and myself, Denver used to be a Cubs town until the Rockies came.

The Twins will have new uni's along with the new ballpark for the 2010 season.

EDIT: Look carefully at the new uni's...they might look similar to the old uni's but look carefully at the lettering.

I bet UniWatch didn't report about Bud Selig getting his own statue at Miller Park.

Not yet, but I did see that on ESPN and CNNSI. Makes sense since Bud & family did get Miller Park built.

Jim Leyland has another preseason goal

When the going gets tough, I'm sure he will reach for his pack of Marbolos.

I believe this was an unfair criticism of Dusty Baker when it comes to pitchers.  Compare the job of pitching to many other sports out there...isn't there not another sport where players really work their arms very hard?

I could compare this to myself throwing a football with both hands (yes I can throw the football evenly with both arms) after I have been throwing right handed for years although I write with my left hand.  At first, I was throwing as hard as I could with my left arm until I figured out better throwing mechanics where I could throw that football almost half a field without putting that much effort in the throw.

I blame the pitcher's throwing mechanics in this one in addition to the number of times they do it.  Plus hasn't the strike zone shrunk and didn't they have four man pitching rotations back in the 1970's?

Sometimes maintaining tradition becomes too expensive.  Yankee Stadium was falling apart and the cost of maintance went past a threshold that the Yankees were willing to tolerate.  A lot of people don't consider maintance costs when it comes to iconic places like that.

Floating Realiginments?  That's a new concept here.

http://jay-mariotti.fanhouse.com/2010/03/22/mauer-staying-home-is-landmark-baseball-tale/?ncid=txtlnkusspor00000002

The Twins extend Joe Mauer's contract for eight years and 184 million dollars.  I have read about how much Target Field will help the Twins but I didn't think it would help the Twins THAT much.
