Nets clear final hurdle to get the "F" out of Jersey, and I figured we have threads for others why not the Association

They should keep that WWE event on Monday and have the NBA game another day.  K-Mart versus Mark Cuban would be a nice way to highlight the WWE event.

If the NHL "gasp" can move a game to another day why can't the NBA? Oh wait that mean TNT & ESPN both would have games on the same day which we just can't have happen. $$$ if I was WWE I'd look into going to Invesco Field eeer New Mile High selling even more tickets to stick it to Kronke.

Clippers win the lottery and I thought for a second the NBA had it set up for OKC to get it

Here's a NBA mock draft: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/ian_thomsen/05/20/mock.draft/index.html

It seems like Blake Griffin is set to be the #1 pick.  It would have been a great story if he could have just gone up north on I-35 to OKC.

That's why I stopped watching WWE about five years ago.

I can't stand Vince McMahon!  There aren't many people on this green Earth that I have less respect for than McMahon.  I give him credit for being a good business man, he built that empire on his own.  Nothing he says, not a single word, can be taken seriously.  It's all an act with him, he's nothing more than a glorified ring leader of a circus act, except he never turns off the schtick.  Nothing he ever says or does is genuine, it's all a publicity stunt.

I'd still have gone to Pat Bowlan of the Broncos and asked to use Invesco Field @ Mile High since its next store to stick it to Kroneke but what do I know.

I think the weather forecast played a role in that.  I'd have loved to see McMahon mock Obama since the DNC was held at Invesco Field.

Double booking does happen all the time.  You usually here about it once every playoff season, particularly with the arenas that have a basketball and hockey team.  This wasn't that big a deal, it just so happened that a publicity whore was the guy it happened to.

The Lakers clearly do look like the team to beat since they got Ron Artest.  If Lamar Odom returns to the Lakers, the Lakers will most likely be favored for a repeat championship in every single preseason publication out there.

Ron Artest says that if Lakers don't win the championship, blame it on him!: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4493238

And Ron, be sure to brush up on sports geography especially San Diego!  :2funny:

But on a serious note, I don't recall a team being this big of a shoo-in for the NBA Finals as the Lakers are this year since Michael Jordan was playing for the Bulls.

Kobe Bryant was selected as TSN's NBA player of the decade.  I don't disagree with this pick at all and Tim Duncan was also a worthy pick as well.

http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/10135100/I've-got-questions;-do-teams-have-answers?

Questions for all the NBA teams entering the upcoming season.  A select few teams:

Quote
Denver Nuggets
Can Carmelo Anthony play the same brand of ornery defense all season long that he did against the Lakers in the playoffs? Was the Lakers series an accident, or a sign that J.R. Smith has become a dynamic two-way player? Who will replace Smith as a scorer off the bench?

Oklahoma City Thunder
Can anybody on the team even spell D-E-F-E-N-S-E? Can Russell Westbrook become more of a genuine point guard? How can they overcome their limitations at the center spot?

San Antonio Spurs
Since Tim Duncan will have to play more center than power forward, will he wear down quicker? Will the absence of any center-sized bangers in the middle make the Spurs too much of a finesse team? Will Richard Jefferson leave his ego at home and become a true Spur?

Sacremento's mayor is pushing for a NBA arena since he is worried that Sacremento could lose the Kings.

Quote
After learning that Arco Arena is considered unsuitable to host a major college basketball tournament, Mayor Kevin Johnson said Tuesday that Sacramento could lose the Kings if efforts for a new arena aren't stepped up.
