They haven't said anything about the jerseys or pants, just the helmets.

Unfortunately, that red helmet is just some graphic design that a fan made.

I used to not like all the crazy uniforms, but lately it's become a recruiting tool.  We may as well go the same way start whipping up some crazy uniform combos.

I might be for it more if it had more contrast.  In that fan's picture there's too little contrast and the logo gets lost in the red.  I don't think you'd even be able to see it from the stands, maybe not on TV.

I think the red in the picture is a little bit too dark, it seems a little maroonish to me.  Maybe it's because of the shadow though.  Also, I would like to see the logo be bigger.  I always liked how on the A&M helmet, the logo takes up the whole side of the helmet.  I think if Tech did that with the monochrome logo shown, it would look awesome!

This is just someones concept, not from the school. And I don't want to hijack the thread, but it's slow on the board, so I figured there was little problem with that.

Back in the 40's I think, OU had white helmets with a red pinstripe down the middle of it and red jersey's and white pants.

Other than that, OU had an all-white Nike Combat jersey we were @Tech in 2009.

Well, we've won exactly 1 conference home game the last two years, so I'm not confident of any home game right now.

Wow...as bad as CU has been, the Buffs still won at least a few home games in the same time span.  What happened to that mystique that befell UT and OU at times when they visited Lubbock?

Winning 1 home game is bit flukey.  We've had some good wins, they just came away from home.

There's been two big issues.  Tuberville completely remade the roster when he came in, so it's a very young team.  Also, we've been demolished by injuries the last two years.  We lost 15 players for the season last year alone.  We have one healthy running back on scholarship right now.  At one point last year, we had a WR moved to CB to cover Justin Blackmon.
