I love the hypocrisy that comes out every year at this time from the media.  Anybody else catch a whiff of it?  The sports talk radio this morning was complaining about how no name teams like Butler and VCU making to the Final Four is bad for the game and nobody wants to watch.  They want "brand name teams" only in the championship.  Well guess what, we have a system that guarantees that yet it's the most unpopular sports system ever thought of.  The BCS.

There are two truths of this Final Four, but they're contradicting in nature.  On the one hand, Butler and VCU absolutely earned their spot and deserve to be where they are without a doubt.  On the other hand, they flat out ARE NOT two of the best teams in the country.

Agreed the media wants it both ways but the I heard a handful of people say how they wish Butler/VCU could play UConn or UK with a reseeding the Final Four. The comparision of the Boise-TCU Fiesta Bowl was brought up. I don't care who is in the Final Four since its earned.

You are right, these teams earned it, but will you make a point of being home to watch. I can't even come up with a team to root for.

Anyone but UConn-UK is who I'll root for, college basketball decides there champ the right way in my opinion. VCU and Butler play the right way and arent intimadated.

+1.  VCU certainly looks like the #1 team right now.  Only close game was FSU, and VCU had to play 5 instead of 4 to get here.  Purdue has a good squad, and VCU put a clinic on them.  Beating KU by 10 by lulling them to sleep was impressive.  Butler beat a 9, 1, 4 & 2 seed.

With Auburn and Cam Newton winning the football title the Ncaa should be used to this by now.

At least KU gave Ed Manning a job. It doesn't matter that he went from truck driver to assistant basketball coach at Kansas. Shady stuff, and Larry Brown left before they weren't allowed to defend their title due to probation.
