Thanks, mpalmer.  That was a hair-pulling game for me all the way...lol.  I honestly didn't know what to think about this game (who would win).  A month ago I would have said NU hands down.  KSU has been playing better ball since then obviously.  Anyway good game and good luck the rest of the way.

Nebraska clearly got the game slowed down to their pace. K-State scored 24 points off of turnovers to Nebraska's 1.

I shared with some K-Stater's before the game that I thought K-State's starting lineup was better at the PG, SF, and PF positions, with a push at Center. Based on last night's game, that was exactly correct.

Nebraska is still an interesting team to watch. Doc's a fabulous coach. I'd love to see them win a couple more games and make the NCAAs.

Jacob Pullen isn't going to play in the NIT.

I will be watching KSU closely next season. They are being carried by two seniors in a big way.

They're also one of the youngest teams in the conference.

No matter which teams continue to rise or fall, no group's turnaround can be as impressive and unpredictable as Kansas State's.

Frank Martin, you fire-breathing, perma-staring genius. I don't know what this man did to get his suspension-riddled group focused and able to go on a five-game winning streak (especially after the heartbreaking loss in Boulder 16 days ago), but it's worked.

It's remarkable how Frank Martin has managed to hold this team together after the defections.   Things looked so different just two short weeks ago.  KSU had just been swept by Colorado and Texas looked unbeatable.   I thought for sure Rick Barnes was Big 12 COY after Texas was picked to finish 4th in the conference during the preseason and looked like a lock to win the league.   At this point Frank Martin is a serious candidate for Big 12 COY.

"Frank Martin...the fiercest male in North America." -Jim Rome

Things changed in Manhattan after the home loss to Colorado. Two terribly difficult practices resulted in a change in offensive set, Freddy Asprilla leaving, and Wally Judge being pushed to the periphery while Shane Southwell and Jordan Henriquez-Roberts stepped their games forward. Credit Assistant Coach Brad Underwood with the offensive change and Frank Martin with the guts to make that change in the middle of the conference season.

Frank Martin moved into consideration where Barnes was the leader. I say give it to the coach winning his 7th straight conference title.
Pullen may have passed Hamilton for POY, last night. He's leading in so many ways, right now.

One of the most impressive things to me in this winning streak is the ability to win different styles of games. Whether its 60 points in Lincoln, or 80 points v. Missouri, or scoring 75 on the road against an athletically-gifted, defensively-strong Texas team.... K-State has found ways to win games.

There isn't a single player on any other team that changes their team's make-up like Pullen. I don't think there is another player like him in terms of importance to his team than Pullen is right now for KSU. Dude is nails.

Pullen is the player that is most valuable to his team. He's also the conference's leading scorer. Those two are good arguments for POY.

K-State got a test from the Cyclones. ISU is more talented than their record would indicate. If you look deeply at their close losses you can see they're not so far off.

They made Pullen work very, very had for 17 points.
Kelly played well, again.

Vanderbeeken scored 4 of his 6 total points in the final 90 seconds.
