I guess, the media is saying 14 years since beating a ranked opponent on the road.  WOW!

I think "losing" Jeff Bzdelic might be the best thing that ever happened to Colorado Basketball.    Wake Forest is now 7-12 on the season after a 74-39 loss to G.Tech.   And Wake has Duke coming up on Saturday.

I'm glad Boyle is with us for sure...I feel sorry for Bzdelik's kid who is attending that school.

Hey BC, what was with all the "F.. you Kansas" chants by the CU people at the game on Tuesday night?     Why would your fanbase do such a chant (in a very organized fashion) to a team likely visiting your arena for the very last time?

Here is an open letter from your A.D.:

Dear CU students
A letter from CU Athletic Director Mike Bohn

By Mike Bohn on January 26, 2011

Editor’s Note: The following is a message released in response to conduct at the men’s basketball game against KU on Tuesday evening.

I would like first to thank you for your tremendous support and enthusiasm at our men’s basketball games this season. Your excitement has made a significant difference in our home game environment and overall growth and prominence of the program over last couple of years. You are engaged in the game, know basketball and serve as the heartbeat of the contest along with your colleagues in our pep band.

However, I must say how deeply disappointed I and so many other Buff fans were in other aspects of your behavior at the game last night vs. KU. The chanting of expletives at the opposing team is, quite frankly, an embarrassment to our university, athletic department, alumni and our team. We publicly saluted your outstanding sportsmanship and behavior at other marquee games that have been played so far this year. YOU are the generators of the energy that inspires our team and other fans, and that energy has become the envy of our competition.

We know that you know better and YOU should expect better behavior from your fellow students who attend the University of Colorado.  A national television audience witnessed our team playing a great game, but was not left with the overall impression of our institution that we aspire to convey. We all yearn for a nationally respected basketball enterprise and we must all contribute to meeting that challenge with continued support and sportsmanship that will attract more fans and outstanding student athletes.

We have at least five more home games that are very important on many levels. We expect all fans to demonstrate the level of class that truly defines the University of Colorado, and to showcase that class for visiting fans in the arena and TV audiences across the nation.

Thank you, and Go Buffs!

Mike Bohn

Mohawk,

I will never always claim that CU fans are classy because each fanbase has their morons.  I do not support what those CU fans students were chanting and it apparently hit a nerve with Bohn who is a KU alum.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that CU fans have the same strong dislike for KU basketball as NU football.

Looking forward to the Pac-12, I'm sure those CU students will be saving that venom for UCLA and a lot of CU students come from SoCal and they seem to hate UCLA basketball just as much as they hate USC football.

Sorry for the long absence from this board...I'm just focused on many other things these days.  I'm thrilled that the Buffs snapped their losing streak by routing the Cyclones at home and now they travel to MU this Saturday.

GO BUFFS!

A winning season and even a winning conference record would be great goals for the Buffs and a good springboard to an awesome start in the Pac-12.

Revisiting what I posted earlier in the season.  The Buffs are 17-11 with a 6-7 conference record.  The Buffs will finish with a winning season this year but a winning conference record would mean that the Buffs win their last three games which are at home against Texas, @ISU, and at home against Nebraska.

Looking at the Pac-10 standings, the Buffs could be between #4 in the league behind Arizona, UCLA, and Washington and as low as #8 below Cal.

CU finishes at 19-12 with a 8-8 conference record and gets the 5th seed in the Big 12 tourney...so much for being picked to finish 9th in the Big 12 in the preseason!  :). If the Buffs win two in the B12 Tourney, I think the Buffs should be a lock for the Big Dance...if not, the Buffs will probably host a couple of rounds of the NIT.

I'd have liked one more B12 win for the Buffs but other than that, it has been a good season for the Buffs.  I'm looking forward to the first PAC-12 MBB media days and an upper division finish next season given CU's favorable conference schedule.  Once the NBA Draft deadline passes, we can do early predictions.

21-13 in the regular season along with 10-9 in the Big 12 season + tourney.  Two big thumbs up to a great season!  I'm proud of this team...three games in three nights caught up to CU against KU but the Buffs showed no quit in the very last B12 game for the program.

Time to stuff Ralphie in the moving truck and off to the west coast!  Thanks for 65 awesome seasons in the B8 and B12!
