OU got a great "Preferred walk-on"...
« on: July 01, 2010, 01:55:15 PM »
The #2 kicker by Chris Sailer.

http://www.chrissailerkicking.com/top-recruits/1494/PlayerProfile.html

He was ranked #2 out of the top 12 kickers in the state by one of the most notable kicking coaches in the nation.

This helps OU a great deal if he can become a good kicker, because OU's got 4 kickers on the roster(only 1 on scholarship) and none of them seem to be all that great

Did I put that down wrong then? I'll double-check. My bad if I did.

I'm surprised more kickers/punters aren't given offers.

The fact this guy chose to walk-on amazes me. But he didn't have a lot of offers, so maybe it was just the best thing for him. And who knows, Stoops may have told him that next year, he gets a ship.
