Sorry I didn't read this thread sooner. The thoughts in here are just delusional.

And which thoughts are you talking about?

He thinks its delusional to think Starling could choose football...even though he made that comment reading posts that were made a year ago, well before the reality set in.

Also, Starling is enrolled in two classes this summer session and moved into his dorms and working out with the team.

That's the funny thing.  Lynch is going by posts made over a year ago addressing Starling playing football.  I don't think most people thought Starling would go Top5 in the draft a year ago.

He took $7.5 million like any sane person would do. I think he's off in Idaho or barren desert.

I like how you think you were so smart about it because you decided to make comments AFTER he got drafted while mocking posts that were made like 14 months before he was even eligible for the draft.

It just wasn't that hard to figure out that a top 15 draft pick, which is what he was projected at more than a year ago, wasn't going to college. Many more Husker fans than are on this board believed he would choose football, which just confirms their sense of delusion.

KC still needed him more than Nebraska, the Huskers should have recruited QBs the past couple years (yes I know that they've lost a few guys). But as a fan of both it was a win-win for me, just remember if it doesn't work after a couple years he could still come to Lincoln i.e. Chris Weinke, Brandon Weeden etc etc

I agree. Which is all the more reason to take the money, first.

Actually, when he committed to NU, I was seeing that he'd be a mid to late first round pick.  Definitely never thought he'd go in the Top5.  So you're wrong.

There's a big money difference between going in the Top5 and going #20.

About $6 million actually.
