Bloomberg was a Dem his entire life until he ran for office.  He is still a Dem.

Leave it to you to defend the braindead Brewer, who continuously wanted it to be a white man.  Do you remember the surveillance video of the guy switching shirts?  Tell me texas, before this guy was caught, ON A PLANE, how many times did the commie media ( msnbc, cnn) say "we are looking for a white right wing radical who is upset at government."  That is the point of this thread.  To show the hope and desire of some of the left that a right winger does a terrorist act so the right wing can be propagandized against.   Sorry, but I would like to know who is going to hold the media accountable for revealing their hopes and wishes that it was a white man right wing radical.

Beware a false flag attack.

But you are okay with white right wingers being profiled?

The Az law has the language "illegal immigrant" in it.  Mexican illegal immigrant in the USA makes up over 50% of illegal immigrants.  That means there are illegal immigrants from other countries.  That means that Mexican illegal immigrant will not be the only illegal immigrants to get their butts shipped back home for being here illegally.  When you hear illegal immigrant do you automatically think Mexican?  80% of Americans want this to happen across the board.  Arizona had their backs against the wall so they responded.  Americans have demanded this issue be dealt with for years now, and amnesty is not the route we want but amnesty is the only route the federal government has tried.  Arizona has the same law on the books as the federal government.  Difference is, Arizona will enforce it and the federal government won't.  Watch other states follow Arizona's lead.

The only immigration reform the left wants, including texas, is amnesty.  Because of this law they will will shout "racist' and profiling like they always do because their IQ is too low to have a legit debate on the issue.

As for muslims being linked together, that is false.  I can appreciate the Muslim Alliance in North America's support of South Park's right to free speech.  We also have CAIR though, and they are moderate friends of terrorist that I won't call Al quaeda, but al CIAda.

Tell me, where in the beginning of this thread did I call for the profiling of anybody.  I am not an advocate of it, but if a little is used to find people here illegally or to stop a bomb from going off ( THE FUSE WAS LIT BTW) I won't complain.  texas, you got way off topic....

but to give law enforcement the wherewithal to harass everyone with dark skin, dark hair, and round face (or however you'd identify a hispanic) is over-broad and overboard. ~ texas

Please show me where in the law it gives cops the authority to do this.................

You'd like us all to goose-step right behind you and raise our torches and burn people in the streets.  Sorry, there are other ways of doing things that are not as crippling and as bigoted as you support.

Yep, me saying "ship illegals back home" is really code speak for " he\she is a witch, burn him\her at the stake!"  Me being in support of LEGAL immigration and against ILLEGAL immigration is bigoted?  No, it is intelligent.  I see the resources illegals suck dry and come to the conclusion that it just isn't right.  The sucking dry of our resources is what is crippling, not the solution to it.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/elections2/election_2010/election_2010_senate_elections/arizona/70_of_arizona_voters_favor_new_state_measure_cracking_down_on_illegal_immigration

Since 70% of Arizonans favor this law I wonder why noone has seen mass burnings of illegals before or after the law was signed?

The first time a legal immigrant is asked to prove his citizenship, he/she will sue for racial profiling, and the law in Arizona will be tossed out for its ambiguity.

either that or we have a few raids comin up :knuppel2:

I don't think you understand.  Either that or I was wrong and you & texas are both dumb.  If I am pulled over for not using a turn signal or for speeding, I can be asked for a drivers license.  If I have no drivers license, the cop then can have reasonable suspicion of whether or not I am here legally.  In no way is that profiling.  Since your messiah lied and claimed that peeps can be stopped while going and getting ice cream, you and texas eat it up and dish it out.  Couple of parrots you two.......

600,000 + illegal immigrants in Arizona.  By the end of the year, it will be below 100,000.  The law is already working, illegal immigrants are fleeing Arizona.

I imagine reasonable suspicion is no drivers license or the person does not speak english.

I believe you gave me a link to the original.  There were changes made....
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/04/30/arizona.immigration.law.changes/index.html

quote-Under the law, police would be able to detain an individual based merely on the suspicion that he or she entered the country illegally. But one of the changes -- which had been adopted by state lawmakers Thursday night -- says police could stop suspected illegal immigrants only while enforcing some other law or ordinance.

quote- An officer could only ask about an immigrant's legal status, for example, while investigating that person for speeding, loitering or some other offense.

quote- Under the original version of the law, he said, police officers would have been obligated to arrest a suspected illegal immigrant who approached them after being victimized. That would not be the case under the revised law.

I've had an encounter with a police officer once in which I had no identification. He never once mentioned any suspicion about me being an illegal immigrant. I am white. If I were Mexican, maybe we'd have had a different story. Under the Arizona law, he could detain me, take me into custody, and interrogate me, without ever having violated a crime because I had accidentally forgot my ID.

Is that OK in your mind? (This should settle the debate)

I have no problem with what Arizona is doing, and I am in the majority.  Get the people who don't belong out.  They are interfering with those who are seeking immigration the legal way.

texas, if your house is on fire do you contain the problem or let it spread?

If the police are looking for a rapist, is it profiling due to the fact they are looking for a man?  or nuvol's aunt?

What was up with all the race questions on the Census?

No, I was not driving.

If I were a minority, I probably would have had issues.  I'm just being practical.  Mexicans are going to get profiled, which is illegal. That sucks, and I don't like it. They will make up their "reasonable suspicions" and just tag anyone they want to.

What if this guy was simply mad a out his house foreclosure or Obamacare? Do you think most Americans are going to skip over his ties to Pakistan or are they going to say "another Muslim / another Pakistani" attack?

Funny, we just talked a couple weeks ago about Ugly Americans need to close Gitmp ASAP when The Apology Tour said nada about drone attacks in a country we are not officially at war with.

They aren't trying to help other states. ~ texas

Arizona's well being is Arizona's responsibility.  Arizona said enough is enough and decided to look out for the CITIZENS of ARIZONA.  and I don't blame them whatsoever.

I have schooled you enough. I'll probably read answers, but I am done with this horse ~ texas .

Since you brought this horse in the first place, fine.  Totally went against the point of the thread.  Since you base everything off of emotion it is easy to dominate you.

Here is the law. Don't send me a YouTube video. Here is it!

PDF Actually statute of Arizona Law

Define "reasonable suspicion"!  Is it looks hispanic and is wearing worn or dirty clothing?

Reasonable Suspicion is used (n) number of times per day throughout the country to establish probable cause.  Why is it that reasonable suspicion in the arena of immigration status must be developed without the use of a Police Officer's five senses?  I'm no fourth amendment expert, but if a feller *seems like he might not be from around here* that should be enough to justify reasonable suspicion.  If Probable Cause cannot be established, then the contact ends and he goes about his business.

Remember kids, the only people who deserve generalization and profiling are white Anglo-Saxon Christian males, as they are ALL clearly rednecks.
