Nixon getting us out of Vietnam has no bearing on my opinion of Obama and vice-versa.  That stands on its own merits.

Great civil rights record (including great work with education reform)
Advances in Space Program
Nomination of Warren Burger
Balanced budget in '69......decreased defense spending big time

Yeah, it only took Nixon 5 years to wind it down while he stirred the hornets nest in Cambodia with no goal of finishing the job there......

Don't get me wrong.  I have no issue with going to war to stop the spread of communism.  I just have a problem with how the vietnam war was fought.
